After dark / CEDERBERG

Look up. Stay a little longer.

Far from city lights, a sky full of constellations is part of the experience. Bring your curiosity.

Star gazing at Mount CederDark skies · Photography workshops

The stars are exceptional at Mount Ceder because there is no light pollution from surrounding towns or cities. The skies are clear and you can see most of the constellations.

Guided or unguided star gazing

From May to October, the milkyway is visible in the Southern Hemisphere and can be seen clearly at Mount Ceder.

Mount Ceder hosts photographic workshops that focus on capturing the stars in nightscapes and the beautiful surrounding rock formations in landscapes.

If you would like to book one of the photographic workshops, contact Dave Rogers directly using the following links:

Even better, you can buy your own Sky guide from the Curio Shop at reception and explore the heavens from your house at Mount Ceder! The sky is alive with constellations.
