BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

A few good things
to know.

Practical answers for a relaxed arrival and an easy stay.

Your stay

When can we check in and out?

Check-in is from 14:00 and checkout is at 10:00. Earlier arrival or later departure is subject to availability; please arrange it with reservations.

Are the hideaways self-catering?

Under Canvas Hideaways are fully serviced, with daily servicing, linen, towels, air conditioning and a Nespresso coffee station. They are not self-catering. Choose one of the villas, mini-villas or Leeustert House if you would like a full kitchen.

Can we bring children?

Children are welcome and must be supervised by adults. Children aged 0–3 stay free; children aged 4 and above pay the adult rate.

Can we bring pets or a drone?

Mount Ceder has a no-pets and no-drones policy.

Can we bring our own firewood?

Please do not bring firewood onto the property. Untreated wood can carry invasive wood-boring beetles that threaten the olive groves and surrounding vegetation. Treated, pest-free firewood is available to buy on-site.

Is there cellphone reception or Wi-Fi?

Allow about three hours by road from Cape Town via Ceres, Prince Alfred’s Hamlet, Gydo Pass and Op-die-Berg. The final section includes approximately 34 km of gravel. Download the directions before travelling.
